Our mission

Error messages are stressful. A cryptic code like 0x80070057 tells you something is wrong but rarely what to do about it. Since 2016, FileFix has had one goal, to turn confusing file and system errors into clear, verified, step by step fixes that anyone can follow.

We focus on the things that actually break. The file systems your data lives on, the email files and clients you rely on, and the recovery and security work that gets your data back. Every solution is researched, tested and reviewed before it is published, and it stays free for everyone.

How we research every fix

Behind every guide is a team of specialists who research, reproduce and test each fix before it reaches you.

1

Collect

We gather real error reports from users, vendor documentation, forums and our own labs.

2

Reproduce and test

Our specialists recreate the error on real systems and test every step until it works.

3

Verify and review

Each fix is reviewed for accuracy and safety, so nothing risky or unverified gets published.

4

Keep it current

We revisit guides as Windows, macOS and Linux change, so the steps still match what you see.

How it works

Search an error code or message, browse by category and open the fix. Each guide explains what the error means, what causes it and the exact steps to resolve it, newest and most helpful first.
